ABOUT THE ARTIST
MEMPHIS BY WAY OF MUSCLE SHOALS, AL.
Josh Waddell was born and raised in the Shoals with a taste for classic rock and soul. His grandmother made him take music lessons in grade school, but he would lose most of his music interests from childhood until moving to Memphis in 2015. It all began in the local Memphis open mic scene and progressed over time into a full-on pursuit of music in performance and songwriting.
Something Good EP (Release - January 19, 2018)
Josh Waddell’s Debut EP “Something Good” tells personal stories of love, hurt, and life in transition. Learning to start over in a new city - MEMPHIS, TN. Waddell’s sound has roots in Americana, Folk, and Soul. “Something Good” is a story of place, “St.Louis” is an upbeat tune about a fun night, and “The Fighter”
Turquoise (Release - May 28, 2018)
The single “Turquoise” was a next step in terms of production and songwriting. A love ballad, the song draws geographic references to the strength of the Colorado mountains and the smoothness of an Alabama spring.
